What exactly do you mean by [i]"I am preparing the .mov file for playback on network, satellite and cable TV"[/i]?
Are you saying that your video is going to be sent to a TV station for broadcast ?
or
Are you just making a video for your own private use at home ?

If you are sending a video to a TV station for broadcast, then it must conform to strict standards which the TV station would be able to tell you. If this is what you are actually trying to do, I recommend your post your question on the Creative Cow Vegas Pro Forum.
