Hi guys, I'm be working since 1 year with Vegas Movie Studio 13 Platinum and DVD Architect Studio 5.0 which is included. I like both programs. Its the best I could find for the few bucks they costs.

Being able now to do what I want, I wonder if there is a possibility to create a BD iso containing 1080p with 25fps. I could find 1080i/25 and 1080p/24 beside other options but no 1080p/25 which will fit much better to the PAL standard we use in Germany. Can you please give me a hint?

Regards,
paneur1100

PS: I tried to find information with search function, but nothing was found.

Hi paneur1100

1920x1080-25p (progressive) is not supported by the Blu-ray format.
Only Interlaced is supported at 25 fps.

I answered this question here in an older forum post.

Hi Derek,
thanx a lot for the quick reply. I suspected a fact like this. So I'll try 1080p/24, because interlaced videos will have a horrible flicker on my LCD-TV.
Can you give me an advice of what's better: 1080p/24 or 1080p/23,976?

For best results, you should always render to the exact same frame rate your original Source Video was shot in.
Most 24p video is actually shot at 23.976 fps.
It can get very confusing, because 23.976 fps is often loosely referred to a 24.000 fps, when it is in fact 23.976 fps.

I make a lot of Blu-ray discs and live in a PAL country, so most of my video is shot at 25 fps.
There is a wide variation in how some TVs and Blu-ray players decode video.
I have never had a problem with Flicker, when rendering to 1920x1080-25i.
However you know your own TV.

There are settings in Vegas for reducing Interlace Flicker, if you right-click videos and go to Switches/Reduce Interlace Flicker.
You can also try a different Deinterlace Method in the Project Properties and set to Interpolate Fields.

Also check your Blu-ray player settings. It is usually best to have it output 1080p to your TV not 1080i. Most players seem to do a better job at deinterlacing than TVs. If you are currently outputting 'i' and change it to 'p' you may see an improvement on your TV.
