I have DVD Architect 5.0 and Movie Studio Platinum 13.0. I can make a simple DVD with menus...I have added a background video to several, DVD intro videos, audio, chapters and some custom graphics. What I want to do is rather simple on a competitor's DVD creation program...make a professional looking menu. In the pictures attached, you can see an illustration from a professional DVD. In the competitor's DVD creation program, they have a Text Only button option and I can use that to actually mimic this menu and have done so. Is there something hidden within the wealth of DVD architect that I am missing?
Also, I recently installed a program called "Drax". It allows you to make chapters in your videos. I have used it and DVD architect does not recognize the chapter markers. Does the program use a special codex for markers? I can safe the markers in any format.
Thanks for the time and help!

Button Style can be set to whatever you like.
Right-click Menu Button and select Text only.
When DVD Markers (Chapter Points) are created in Movie Studio or Vegas Pro, an .sfl file is created when you render the video.
.sfl files contain the Chapter Point data.
Here is a screen shot showing the type of files that may be created, when you prepare (render) video for DVD Architect.
All files that belong to the same video, must use the exact same name.
So for every .mpg video file you have, you must also have a matching .mpg.sfl file for the chapter points.
Regards
Derek

I know about creating a text only button with DVD Architect and I don't think that is the solution. The other product has a text-only button with the symbols (one is almost a duplicate of the example I gave) already in them. What you do is place the text-only button over the area you want to use as a link, link something to it and it works. I have duplicated the menu example I gave, but without a colored text-only button (which I haven't figured out yet). My efforts to do so with DVD Architect 5.0 have come up short. In the example I gave, you use the same text-only button to navigate to each menu option.
Thanks for the info on the chapter markers. From what I have gathered, the option on the timeline in Architect for saving and loading chapter markers doesn't work. I have tried it to no avail. Since writing the post, I have think I can add the chapter markers using Vegas movie studio, but I'll have to try.
