Thanks for the comments re my earlier request. That DVD created no problem. Next files created; the ,mpeg2 file is 3.9 GB and the ac3 file is 190 kb yet when loaded into DVD Architect it tells me the loaded file is too big for the medium reporting that it is 5.2 GB. I have re-compressed both files and get the same results. Where is the extra file size coming from?

Thanks

DVD Architect sometimes/often overestimates the necessary size. It's possible that it's OK. You can try preparing and then see how large the output folder is.
If it's not OK, follow Derek's tutorial.

Thanks; I followed the link and downloaded the app and applied to my project and tried a number of alternatives that produced files ranging in size from 600 mb to 4 gb. Found a workable size and completed the DVD successfully. Some background; this was a 4 hour shoot of final presentations at an acting class. Edited down to 3 hours on the timeline and then split into two 90 minute segments, each separately compressed. One easily one not easily which I do not understand. However; all ended well thanks to the help.
