Good afternoon, have been having a clear out of my hard drive and came across a folder (windows/program files) for BorisFX with the attached directories inside , I have both MSP12 and 14 but no BorisFX within these two programs. I also have no idea how they ended up on my hard drive. Any suggestions anybody please? Cheers John

No absolutely nothing as far as I can see. It was not a part of MSP12 or MSPS14 as far as I recall

No BorisFX came packaged with Movie Studio Platinum 12 Suite.

Some BorisFX came packaged with Movie Studio Platinum 13 Suite, back when Sony sold it.
This was a BorisFX 8 product.

No BorisFX came with Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 14 Suite.

BorisFX 3D Objects comes packaged with all Vegas Pro 15 upgrade versions.
The version used is BorisFX 9.

A lot of different "Video Editing" software companies, often include different "bonus" BorisFX as part of their packages.
These "bonus" versions, are often linked only to that program they came with, because they are "free" sample versions.
You may have installed another program on your computer, that came with a sample pack of BorisFX that are locked only to that program.

John, did you not play with a trial of Vegas Pro a while back? If so possibly they came with that.

I have Boris FX but as Derek has mentioned they came with MS13 (I have the Magix branded version).

Good morning, think between all of us I think I know where the BorisFX entry came from. I had downloaded Hitfilm Express in the past and on loaded that up it showed "Buy now" for BorisFX 3D.. Its the only explanation I can see. Cheers John
