Solved Basic info relating to placing video onto a DVD disc

Hi Derek,

Having videos of different scenes recorded at different frame rates (30 and 60fps) and having edited them into short but concise "filmlets".

AND

Since that was done using "set your Project Video Settings to Match Media" - the resulting filmlet collection has different frame rates (and potentially, but not in my case - different resolutions with progressive or interlaced format).

The point I would like clarification on is:

Before rendering to the DVD - Do all the filmlets have to be rendered to the same video output format? - eg, if some filmlets were recorded 30 and others at 60 fps and all are wanted on the same DVD - then is it required to render all to 30fps before burning the the disc.

Hoping that your eyes havn't rolled too far!

All your videos should be rendered to the same format before making a DVD.
DVD only supports a maximum of 30 fps.
Blu-ray can support 720-60p.

I am guessing you are the same person that sent me a message on YouTube.
Here is my reply from YT:
It is not a good idea to mix frame rates if you can avoid it, otherwise you can end up with Audio Sync issues and shaky video.
It is OK to mix frame rates that are multiples of each other, like 25 and 50 or 30 and 60, or 24 and 48.
If you must mix different frame rates in the same project, always render to the lowest Frame Rate for your final output.
