I have been using Movie Studio, since ver 5, and kept buying upgrades to my current copy of ver 16Having spent money over & over, I have been an advocate of Movie Studio.
With the application moving to Magix Movie Studio, I decided to cease upgrading, and have remained on ver16 However finding features I want are not supported, or often told you need Vegas to do that …and after some comments by friends and reading a lot of reviews, I realised I could get all what I want from free software.
I decided to take a leap and move to DaVinci Resolve.This is not some basic app short on features, this is a fully featured suite.
Hollywood films use DaVinci Resolve …. It has every feature you have ever wanted, and some.Only been using for a few months and very impressed, neat things like no need to Save … it’s always 100% backed up. Fully supports LUTS and professional codecs, which are included for free.Want 4K, want unlimited video or audio tracks, the worlds best colour grading app, and extremely fast rendering ….. it’s all included.
It’s fully integrated, including professional mixing desks if you want them.
Amazing effects, filters & transitions, it’s mind blowing how much is there and it’s all free for ever, including all upgrades.
Supported by an incredible amount of free professional training videos by Black Magic (the parent company). Coupled with hundreds of YouTube videos.So if you have reached the point of no longer wanting to buy yet another version, and you want more features, take a look at DaVinci Resolve.I’ll miss Movie Studio Zen, been a great resource, some good people here, but DaVinci has won me over.
