When I moved into video editing I found that one of the hardest tasks facing me was the way(s) to use and correct colour. It's a huge subject in its own right and the recognised "bible" is"The Art and Technique of Digital Colour Correction" by Steve Hullfish (published by Focal Press). Apart from reading this at times advanced tome, I found it helped me as I journeyed along to compile a brief summary of definitions and applications and I'm happy to share this with anyone if it will encourage them to move further into this field. It's a .pdf attachment which is designed to fit on to two sheets of A4 paper (but you may find you will have to do some judicious copying and pasting if the translation from .doc has not been completely successful).
Hope this is of some help to some of you.
Richard
