Accidentally used the zoom edit tool, now i can't zoom back in on my timeline was created by Lady Umbreon
Posted 14 Apr 2018 15:10 #1 Hi there,
I was just wondering if someone might be able to help me, i'm in the middle of working on a project using Vegas Movie Studio 14, and i've come across a problem.
I accidentally used the zoom edit tool on my timeline and now the timeline has zoomed out & has shrunk so small that i can't even see it anymore, and i can't seem to find an option to zoom in to the way it was before.
Very distressed as i only have a few days to make this big video for my dad's funeral and right now i'm at a stand still and can't do anything with it at all.
Please if anyone could help that would be wonderful, thanks!

Posted 14 Apr 2018 15:57 #2 Hi Lady Umbreon
I will assume you are the same person who asked the same question on the Movie Studio Zen Facebook page.
Your screen shows that you have disabled the Zoom Edit tool.
Pressing D on the keyboard, cycles through all the different Edit Modes.
When Zoom Edit is active, it will be highlighted and look like this.
Please note I am using version 15 and it looks like you are using version 14.
When the timeline is collapsed, activate Zoom Edit again and then draw out a square.
When you release your Mouse button, the timeline should return to normal.
When you have Zoom Edit active and press the Left Mouse button once, it will also collapse the timeline.
There is also another Keyboard Shortcut which will quickly restore your timeline.
Press the grave accent ´ button, which lives next to the 1 key in top left corner.
Pressing this again and again, makes the timeline small/normal.
Important - Check for Updates
There were some bugs in version 14 that effected the timeline tools.
Make sure you have build version #148 installed.
Open Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 14 and go to Help/About
Here you will find which build version you have installed.
If it is not #148, you can download and install new build version from the link in this page:
