Problem with Apple Quicktime was created by Booted

I have been trying to download quicktime for vegas movie studio without any success. It gets an error every time and so wont install. i have tried this with a number of versions of quicktime but to no avail. Do we really need quicktime to be on computer for vms to work or is there an alternative i can use. i would greatly appreciate a solution to this problem. Thanx

Hello Booted and welcome to the MSZ Forum

Technically speaking you shouldn't need Quicktime if you are using the latest version of Vegas Movie Studio.
However some videos don't work unless you have it there.

I have spoken about Quicktime a lot on this website.
I recommend your read this FAQ on the topic:

If you are having problems, make sure to first uninstall ALL Apple software from your computer.
There are 2 versions of Quicktime I recommend you try.
Version 7.7.9 or 7.6
If 7.7.9 doesn't work, version 7.6 should definitely work.
