Is Sony Movie Studio Platinum 13 Good for Gaming Videos For YouTube? Our son will be getting a new computer in the next 6 months and want to know if the Sony Movie Studio Platinum 13 is good for him to use when editing gaming videos for youtube? He just got his channel. I use the Platinum 13. I've been trying to learn fro 5 months now and JUST learning the basics and getting the hang of it and love it. I could NOT have learned without Movie Studio Zen. No way! No How! I'm going on 49 so just finding the on button on my computer sometimes gets complicated lol (well at first). So now that I feel more confident of this software and see how much it does...and I know it does WAY more than I even know how to use YET...I thought I could show my boy how to use it since he is unfamiliar with editing video at this point. My daughter as well is looking to get an editing software.
If I were to buy this can I get it for 2 computers? It can get costly to buy one for everyone's computer. Even my husband could learn to use this if he had it on his pc. Would help me out with our YouTube Channel.

Yes many YouTuber Gaming channels are using Movie Studio Platinum to make their videos. It is a good choice to begin with and learn all the basics.

Yes you can install Movie Studio Platinum on two different computers that you own. Technically they say you can't, but you can and it will work.

The current SCS EULA says this: "Sony grants you a limited license to use the Software only on one (1) computer or mobile device, as applicable, and you may create one (1) back up copy of the Software."

As long as you only use one copy of the software at any given time, they don't mind. I would assume many of us have installs on at least two devices.

To download to 2 different devices is it best to download it and buy from Sony directly or do you sell it or buy on Amazon? My computer doesn't have a spot for CD so a download is best for me but hope I can put into 2 different devices. LMK what you think. Thanks.

If you don't have a DVD Drive in your computer, you will definitely need to buy Movie Studio as a download.
I have been buying the download version direct through Sony for many years.
First create a Sony Software account and then make your purchase. This will give you the ability to download all your software from inside your account, at any time.

Make sure you buy the correct version of the program.
I recommend Movie Studio Suite 13 as the best value version, because of the extra bonus features and programs.

Copy the file over on a memory stick, USB or SD.

I read the Sony Lieense and in their forums, you are allowed to install ono as many computers as you like, but you are allowed to USE one copy at a time, per license. So if you and your son are editing at different times you are legally ok. If you both edit at the same time, will the softwaree phone home and get you in trouble, I don't know. But JESUS will know!

I don't plan on doing anything agains the rules. I already have my own Sony software on my pc that I bought when I bought this pc. I was going to buy another Sony software for my son when he gets a new computer and wanted to know if we can put it on our daughter's as well since she helps him with his YouTube videos.
