Solved Adding fx to clips

Adding fx to clips was created by CineMan

I was practicing adding night effect from video fx in Vegas Pro 12. I had to drag the night effect to each clip individually. Is this right? Is there any way to add the fx affect to all clips in one go?

Thanks

Hi Cineman,

Left click on the event you have made the FX to select the event, then Crtl+C (copy command). Then move to the events you wish the same FX applied to, select them all. On any that are selected right click, then select 'Paste Event Attributes'. That will copy all the FX's made to the event you are copying from, to all the events you are pasting to.

DO NOT use Ctrl+V to paste, as this will copy the entire event you are copying from.

please let us know if this helps.
Best Regards......George

Sony Vegas Pro 12 Help: "There are several methods available for applying effects to video. Video plug-ins can be applied to tracks, video events (clips), source media files (via the Project Media window), or to the entire video project."
If you do it the way George says, you probably are able to get rid of them more easily at first if needed.

The software itself has a couple of of its Interactive Tutorials (click the Hand button) on the topic. More here

If all videos you want night effect applied to are isolated to the same video track, you could apply your video effect to the Track FX button here.
