Hey Derek;
1st, thanks for all the great stuff. I've progressed though the Sony family thanks to you.

I have a bit of a mystery with an MP4 that Studio 12 will read but Studio and Vegas 13 will not (tested across two different machines with both packages installed). The video stream shows up as just a dark green screen while the audio plays fine. I tried doing some conversion using other tools (Freemake as well as Handbrake) but no luck. I rendered from MS12 and then Vegas would read it but that is a lot of effort.

The source app is a screen capture tool called Replay from Articulate.

Any words of wisdom?
I can send a sample but did not want to spam your server.

Thanks

Hi Todd

Can you upload a small sample video of the exact same format to Dropbox ?
You can send the link via a private email to me.
Then I can test it out myself and check more deeply into the Video Codec being used.

Email is on my Contact page.

Regards
Derek.

There is something strange/wrong with your video file.
The only program it would work in for me was Movie Studio Platinum 12.
Does not work in Movie Studio Platinum 13, Vegas Pro 12 or Vegas Pro 13.

You need to experiment with the recording settings you are using to create this type of video.
OR
Use a different screen capture program – this would be my suggestion.
I use My Screen Recorder Pro by Deskshare for all my tutorials.

Derek.
