Solved Cannot apply Transitions to the Vegas Pro timeline
Cannot apply Transitions to the Vegas Pro timeline was created by Michel
Posted 21 Apr 2019 23:05 #1I'm using Vegas Pro 16. Started on a new project this morning. I had not used my app. for the last month. I find out this morning, that no transitions are applied by default either on pictures or clips on the timeline? Vegas will not permit me to add transitions from the transitions base. So I reinstall Vegas with the same result.
I have no clue...help would be appreciated...thank you.

Posted 24 Apr 2019 21:53 #7Yes DL is a downloaded version from Magix. So I did that yesterday. I just installed that new version and again no transitions are appearing even though there is a tick on the edit tab for automatic overlapping. I cannot merge my pictures or clips with the default transition. I don't get it.
Since I must advance with this project I will go to my plan B and use my faithful MSP 15 and write to Magix and hope they can help me.
Thanks for your concern.

Posted 25 Apr 2019 07:21 #8Easy solution...I write it as a reference to other members and myself.
You need to reset Vegas Pro by clicking twice on the Icon on your desktop and at the same time holding CTRL & Shift keys and click YES to clearing the cache and voilà...got my transitions again.
Have a nice one guys.

Thanks for confirming that the remedy yours truly suggested in post #2 in this thread suggested did work. Now I am left wondering why you told us in post #3 that you "did all that" which I took to mean you actually tried resetting, but without success. I think I have a nice sleep now
Note that this is a standard suggestion made by the Doc/Eagle Six/myself practically every time that something has worked before but now does not...

Posted 26 Apr 2019 23:22 #10I understood resetting and reinstalling... sorry for that. Or else I would not have written to Magix. I think I once told you I'm french speaking, it is possible I mistake a word for another.
Have a nice day.
