Very Slow Render Speed was created by Ritesh

My system takes 3 hours to render a 45 SECONDS clip with just a little bright-contrast and noise reduction effects. It is Dual Core E5700, 8 GB DDR3 RAM (1333 4+4), the video editor and OS are on 120 SSD (C Drive), my render location is D Drive yet the pathetic render speed. I tried to get my hands on Core 2 Quad but could not get one. I use g41 LGA 775 if I do not find a core 2 quad in the next 7 days, which processor will you advise for this mobo to get me out of this misery?

Hi Ritesh - Welcome to the MSZ Forum :)

Which processor will you advise for this mobo to get me out of this misery?

I have no knowledge on 10 year old Motherboards and CPUs.

Your CPU is not powerful enough to run Vegas properly.
It was released in 2010, before Intel released their new CPU architecture that improved CPUs dramatically.

You need to build a new computer, because video editing programs require an absolute minimum of 4x Cores with 8x threads.
The newly released AMD Ryzen 3 3300X, looks to be a great value CPU according to the reviews on YouTube.
If you have a bigger budget, I would encourage anyone building a new computer to get an 8x Core AMD Ryzen CPU.
With 8x Cores, any video editing program should run like a rocket!!!

The other half of the equation is a good Graphics Card.
Vegas heavily uses GPU Acceleration, to help play back in the Preview Window, Video FX and render times.
An AMD RX 590 or AMD RX 580 are excellent value GPUs, that work very well in Vegas.
If you go Nvidia, GTX 1660 is the minimum I would recommend.

Regards
Derek
