Render Crashing - An error occurred writing the file was created by voDKa

What should I do if I get such an error during rendering? "An error occurred writing the file. make sure you have write access to the file/folder and that there is enough free space" I'll tell you right away, I have Windows 8.1, 752 free hard disk space, 8 gigabytes of RAM. And all the same it pours out at me, what to do?

Hi voDKa - Welcome to the MSZ Forum :)

Which exact version of Vegas Pro are you using ?
Which build version do you have installed ?
Go to Help/About to find the build version.

What are you Project Properties set at ?
Upload a screen shot to the forum.

Which Render As Format and Template did you select ?
Example: Magix AVC/AAC - Internet 1080p

If you are trying to render to an uncompressed format, that will be the likely cause of your problem !!!

At the bottom of the Render As window, make sure you have set the Output Folder Location correctly.
Sometimes people accidentally have this set to the wrong folder, which may cause problems.

If you have been using Vegas Pro on the same computer for a very long time, the Temporary Files Cache may be full or become corrupted.
Doing a full program reset normally fixes this problem. It will restore all settings back to defaults and clean the cache.
Instructions here:
www.moviestudiozen.com/doctor-zen-faq/573-how-to-reset-sony-software-to-default-settings

In case there is a problem with your folder location, start a new test project and add just 10 seconds of video.
Save the project and go directly to Render As.
If it works OK, then you know the problem is being caused by something in the actual project you are working on.

Regards
Derek

You are using a very old build version of Vegas Pro 17.
The final build version ever released was build #452.
Download and install build #452 from here:
www.moviestudiozen.com/doctor-zen-faq/624-vegas-pro-17-update-history

You didn't show/tell me your Project Properties ???
It's the button above the Preview Window and looks like this.

You should be rendering to Magix AVC/AAC in Vegas Pro 17.
Magix AVC/AAC is the new decoder/encoder and is fully optimized for the latest Graphics Cards, which means faster render times.
If you have a modern graphics card, make sure it is turned on in the Preference settings !!!
Go to Option/Preferences/Video - GPU Acceleration - select your graphics card.

Your problem may also be related to rendering directly to your C-Drive !!!
Try rendering to a folder inside of Documents instead.
Your Documents folder will have the correct permissions already applied to it.

If you're using a Pirated version of Vegas Pro, I cannot really help you.
It's probably because you are using a pirated version, that you are getting this error.
Cracked versions can screw up your computer for real.

I also rendered such a rendering at first on Sony Vegas pro 12, and even there was the same error

Maybe there are other ways to deal with such a error
