Good morning.  I did a screen capture using iTop screen recorder (1920*1080 FHD format MP4, frame rate 30, bitrate Auto, Quality High) which came in saved as an MP4 at 22mb.  I took this media into Vegas Pro19 added 1 photograph as a picture in picture and when I tried to render as an MP4 the file size had jumped up to more than triple the size of 22mb using irrespective of which render options iI was trying.  is this to be expected? Cheers John

John,  the bitrate of your Zoe file is very low.  Your export after rendering probably had a more decent bitrate hence the increase in file size as file size is directly proportional to the bitrate.  Bitrate is measured in bits per second.

Thank you Eric.  I learn something every day.  So if in the future if I need to possibly reduce the file size I just need to lower the bitrate by customising one of the templates in Vegas Pro.  Cheers John  Update.... since replying to the thread and on opening iTop screen recorder and going to settings I can see I can alter the bitrate
