Solved Inserting a vertical line below text to identify mountain summits

Hi,
I've searched for this but nothing popped up.
I'm using Vegas Pro 18 and New Blue Titler Pro 7.On a panoramic video clip I want to identify the various mountains by displaying their names above them with a vertical line below the text pointing at the individual peaks. Is there a simple way to do this?
Any advice/help would be much appreciated.
Thank you.

Hi Tuppers

There are many ways you can do this:
1. You can actually generate shapes using Titler Pro 7, which will probably be the easiest way to do it.
Press Add Shape and select Rectangle
Drag sides to the center, to create line. Drag top/bottom, to make long/short.
When the shape is selected, you can change it's properties like colour.

2. You can also add a Solid Colour from the Media Generators tab.
Place it on it's own Video Track, then use the Track Motion tool to create a skinny line - you will need to turn off the scaling settings, so you can move edges in freeform.

3. The third method, which is what I normally use, is to use an Image Editor like Photoshop to create your custom shape.
Then export as a .png file with an Alpha (transparent) background.
Place on track above main video.

Derek

Hi Derek,
Thank you very much for responding so quickly. I'll work through those three methods and decide which is the best/easiest for me.
I hope all goes well with the stent replacement, I just can't imagine the pain and discomfort you endure.
Best wishes
Tuppers
