They are different programs using different settings and different profiles - they are not identical.

If you are going to ask a question like that, please provide detailed information about:

1. The Properties of the Video type you are editing with, Example: Frame Size, Frame Rate, Video Codec, etc...
Produce a MediaInfo report that shows what type of video you are working with and upload the report to the forum.
Instructions on how to create a MediaInfo report using MediaInfo app here:

2. Which Profile and Template did you use in VEGAS Pro ?

3. Which Profile and Template did you use in DaVinci ?

4. What type of CPU do you use ?
What type of GPU do you use ?

I do agree that VP is slower to render when using Nvidia HW encoding than other nle's. The OP may or may not be referring to that specific scenario. I did come across an example clip encoded in resolve, other consumer editors, ffmpeg etc that were all quicker to encode than VP.

This is a well known VP limitation of nvenc HW encoding, mentioned numerous times, typically named heartbeat, sawtooth etc by users on the main Magix VP forum. The render output pauses every ~ 60 frames. It appear jagged, similar to this in output instead of smoothly rendering. /\/\/\ etc.

The OP may not be referring to this though since he hasn’t supplied any further information.
