Hi Derek,

Thanks for the time you're allowing yourself in trying to find a solution to my problem. I did what you suggested. I attach a screenshot of the final result, you'll notice 2 things I do not have special permissions, I did click on that after taking the shot and also, I do not see my name written contrary to your properties/security screen!

Is that an error or a program glitch? No idea!?

I'm sure you'll agree that there must be various and many reasons for that issue. Seems like 291 viwers look interested in the subject, and getting the specific reason might be somewhere close the the needle in the batch of hay.

Like I mentionned in yesterday's post yesterday, I'll continue shutting down everything and hoping the refresh button will continue working after that simple procedure and wait till I get fedup and purchase a more recent version of Vegas Pro. Hoping that Windows would contribute to my happiness at that point!

have a Great One derek and thanks again for your insight.

Special Permissions can be ignored - it is something that is normally never used by anyone.
To find your user name, go one step deeper.
Open the folder C:\Users to find the name of all registered users.
If you have a Microsoft Account and are logged in, it probably auto-created a username based on your email address.
If you use Windows with a Local Account, it will be something you created a long time ago.

There's nothing more I can really say.
I do see that Unknown account in your Security tab, but I would not delete that in case it causes CHAOS.
File permissions can get dangerous and I don't want to make things worse.
ℹ️ Remember to turn everything off at least once a week, including your brain, then sit somewhere quiet and just chill out.
Unplugging is the best way to find solutions to your problems. If you would like to share some love, post a customer testimonial or make a donation.

Hi Derek,

I hadn't noticed yesterday when sending the Permissions window that three items were not checked...Full Control, Modify and Read & execute. They now are...will see what happens.

Thanks again for your implication in trying to solve this issue, like always I really appreciate it.

Have a great one Derek.
