I'd been occasionally Googl'ing "Sony Movie Studio <insert problem here>" and Zen kept popping up as one of the top hits. So now I just come straight here. Good stuff to be found. :cheer:

Is there a way to set a user's local time zone on the forum? I can't find it in any of the profile settings. :?

Hi Ericj and welcome to MSZ Forum

That is a good question about the Time Zone settings.
No one has ever asked that question before, believe it or not :woohoo:

Every thing until now has been set to my time zone, which is Sydney, Australia.
I have just added the Time Zone field so that everyone can now set it manually.
Login to your account and then go to www.moviestudiozen.com/support/edit-user-profile
Time Zone field is at bottom of screen - set and press Save.
It should now update when you view your Profile on the Forum.

Cheers :)

Derek,
I tried editing my profile and I keep getting an error message that my passwords don't match and I've even tried setting a new password. I select my time zone as New York but it always flips back to Sydney

Hi Mike

Don't touch password fields.
To change time zone, select new time zone from drop down box and then press Save - that's it.

I have a few test accounts on Movie Studio Zen and they all changed for me.

Just tried again Derek but still get the same results. I noticed that the verify password box is blank but the password box above it says I have a very strong password. Maybe I should log out and then log back in again ?

Logout of Movie Studio Zen and then go to just Google Search page.
Then delete all your web history, cookies and cached images and files from web browser history.
Now log back into MSZ and change Time Zone.
Both Password Fields must be/should be blank by default.

Mike I just checked the admin side of the website and you were logged into 3 different sessions, which may have been causing a conflict.
I have manually killed all your sessions so you can login fresh.

OK, I think it took this time. The password field still had characters in it and I got the same error message again so I deleted everything in the password box then changes my time zone and it appears to have worked. I set it to New York for the Eastern Time Zone.
