In this video tutorial I show you how to set up Sony Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 11 to render a 1080p HD Video for YouTube, Vimeo or any other website that hosts video.

To get your 1080p HD Video looking fantastic there are two steps involved:

Firstly you have to set your Project Property Settings correctly. Many Video Cameras or DSLR Cameras all shoot with different settings - like different frame rates and whether it is Progressive or Interlaced Video. It is important to know where you want your finished product to be displayed, because this determines which settings you choose in the Project Properties.

Secondly you have to create a Rendering Template to match your Project Properties. Vegas gives you many great templates with which to work with, but a few settings may need to be tweaked to get the best look. Follow along with my video tutorial and you can't go wrong.

These instructions are only suitable for Version 11 users of Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 11.

Follow the link below for 1080p .mp4 HD Video creation, if you are using Version 10 or 9 of Vegas Movie Studio:

Hello Derek (from a fellow Derek),

Love your site and your easy to understand videos. One question I'm curious about is whether it's possible to batch render using HD Platinum 11? I've seen multiple videos showing how to do this using "Pro" but I haven't seen any videos explaining how to do this in HD Platinum 11.

I've tried setting loop regions but the batch render scripting options don't show up the way they do when I watch Pro version tutorials.

      Hi Derek G

Unfortunately you cannot do batch rendering using Vegas Movie Studio.
This is a Pro feature only.
I remember trying to do exactly what you have described, years ago.
Don't worry about it too much.

      Thanks for the appreciation.
      Derek M.
