In this video I explain why the Preview Window may Lag when Editing HD 1080p Video using Sony Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 11 or Sony Vegas Pro 11.
I talk about the two best solutions for this problem, which actually work.
The first method involves creating Proxy Video files, and the second method converts the AVCHD H.264 video codec into the high quality & edit friendly "Cineform" codec.
For anyone who owns a GoPro HD Video Camera, you have a rather large advantage over everyone. This is because very recently Go Pro bought the "Cineform" company and now allow all users of their cameras to download the Cineform codec for FREE. So if you are a Go Pro owner, then have a go at converting your HD Video into Cineform for editing - it is going to increase the quality of your Video Projects for sure.
