In this tutorial I show the best way to create and render a 480p widescreen video suitable for upload to YouTube using Sony Vegas Pro 11.

The main reason I have made this tutorial is because I received numorous messages from people who all reported the same bug when they rendered using the Default "Internet 480p" template in Vegas Pro 11.

Vegas Pro 11 has a nice set of Internet Templates under the MainConcept AVC/AAC .mp4 options. Unfortunately 480p will will produce a nasty green line going down the entire right hand side of the video. The cause of the problem is being generated by which "Encode Mode" you choose from at the very bottom of the Render As - Customize - Video window.

Setting the Encode Mode to "Automatic (recommended)" or "Render using GPU if available" is what causes the problem.

The solution is to set Encode Mode to "Render using CPU only".

Please watch my video for full instructions on how to render 480p correctly.
