In this video tutorial I show the settings I use in My Screen Recorder to capture all my tutorials.

The software I use is actually called My Screen Recorder by Deskshare. I have used many different "software" based screen recorders to capture my video tutorials. Some screen recorders like Snagit are great for just capturing text and graphics, whereas others like FRAPS are better for capturing gameplay video.

If you need to capture text, grahics and great video at a relatively small file size, then I highly recommend My Screen Recorder using Windows Media Video to save your capture to. It is the best solution I have found so far and absolutely love it. Other programs I used suffered from Audio Sync problems which is very frustraing indeed.

***Updated since making Video***

The USB Microphone I use is a Rode Podcaster.
I record using Windows Media Video at 25 fps and 5000kbps bit rate.
I record the audio at 320 kbps, 44kHz, Stereo

I also have a newer tutorial showing the exact settings I use within My Screen Recorder, to capture perfect quality 1080p Windows Media Video (.wmv)
