In this video tutorial I show how to Animate Text with Keyframes in the Text Media Generator Window, using Sony Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 10.

Using Keyframes in Vegas Movie Studio is a very powerful tool that can be applied to many different Fx and Media Generators. Once you have mastered this tool, you will be amazed at all the different things you can create.

It is a very important tool to learn how to use, so please pay attention to learning this one well.

Hi Derek, I tried to follow this "animate text with keyframes" tutorial bit by bit to get some text to come from nothing to full size or go from left to right, etc, but it just didn't work. I couldn't see anything that was different on your vid to mine, and wondered what setting I my have accidentally set on my machine that was causing this not to work. I'm on Windows 7
    Any Ideas, please?

Instead of going to white - would it be possible to have a photo appear? Or is that for another video? Is that too advanced. I think I would have to use another line for the photo placement?

You can add many more Video Tracks to the timeline.
Right-click a blank area of an existing Video Track and select Insert New Video Track.
If you grab the control box for that new video track, you can drag it above or below any existing tracks and place a new video or image there.
if you start using the forum, I can upload screen shots showing exactly what I mean.
      Regards
      Derek

Leading ? ... you weren't sure if it was lead -ing (as per the metal) or Leed-ing
It is pronounced Lead-ing as it comes form print industry where they used to add stripos of lead to space out type when typesetting. Just a historical explanation for you.
Keep up the great vid tutorials.

Another person on YouTube explained the same thing to me a couple of years ago, after I had made this old video.
      Thanks for the reminder.
