In this video tutorial I show how to make a Lower Third Text for a video move on and off the screen with a colour background strip, using Sony Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 10.

It's a bit complicated to try and explain just with words, but once you watch the video, you will recognize this technique which is used on the TV quite a bit. Understanding how to use Keyframes and the Event Pan and Crop Tool are essential for completing this effect.

Hi Derek, I have no question about this tutorial because its spot-on and concise as usual.

You may remember me from an email the other day asking you how to remove split/slice lines from the time line without using control Z, thanks for that again by the way!

Anywho, In Photoshop I noticed all of your tool icons are colored, is this something you did or did your software come this way? Did a lot of home work and cannot figure that out for the life of me. ;-(

    If you have time, Cheers, - Jeff ...... O I run CS6 ;-)

      Hi Jeff
This will probably make you laugh The version of Photoshop I use is "low tech" Photoshop Elements 9 - this is the default configuration.
So the child of Photoshop Senior gets all the colour.
