This is an **UPDATED** Tutorial of an older video which teaches how to create and render widescreen 480p video using Sony Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 11.
Somehow an error has crept into the program during one of the free build updates and has broken the method I previously was teaching.
What the Problem Is
Using the Sony AVC/MVC .mp4 template for 480p video creation is now creating an error in the Frame Size. Instead of the frame size being 854x480, it changes to 864x480 during the rendering process. The problem with this is that it screws up the Aspect Ratio and falls out of the Widescreen 16:9 sizing. If you then attempt to upload this to YouTube, you end up with the dreaded "black bars" forming around the video.
Solution
You must use the MainConcept AVC/AAC .mp4 profile now to create a 854x480p video.
In the video tutorial I show you exactly how to modify an existing template to convert it into a 480p Rendering Template. I actually just copied this from a Vegas Pro 11 template, which already uses MainConcept to do all Internet Video Creation.
