The New Blue Titler EX is a special Titles and Text generation program, that gives you the ability to create professional looking 3D Graphics.
NB Titler EX comes packaged with Sony Movie Studio Platinum 12 Suite and Imagination Studio 4. It is one of the coolest bonus features that you get with both these special versions of Movie Studio Platinum 12, and one of the big reasons why these versions are worth the relatively small extra price.
Using this program, you can apply Styles, Video Fx, Animations and Transitions to your Text.
Not only can you work in the traditional flat 2D plane, you can also extrude your Text to create a 3D "3 dimensional" look that has depth.
Versions of the New Blue Titler available
There are actually three different versions of the New Blue Titler, which are made by NewBlueFx.com:
- New Blue Titler EX - for Movie Studio Platinum
- New Blue Titler Pro 1.0 - for Vegas Pro
- New Blue Titler Pro 2.0 - works in both Movie Studio and Vegas Pro
Currently NB Titler Pro 1.0 comes standard with Sony Vegas Pro 11 and 12.
Titler Pro 2.0 is the uber deluxe and newest version of the program and can be purchased directly from NewBlueFx.com. Version 2.0 also works in all the main Video Editing programs available today, like Sony Vegas Pro, Sony Movie Studio Platinum, Adobe Premier Pro, Adobe After Effects, Apple Final Cut Pro, Avid Media Composer and Grass Valley Edius.
I just installed New Blue Titler EX or Pro and it is not working properly?
If you bought a boxed version of Movie Studio Suite, more than likely most of the programs and apps will be old build versions and need to be checked for updates. Open Movie Studio and go to Media Generators. Find New Blue Titler EX and drag Preset onto timeline. Go to Help in the top menu for the Titler and select Check for Updates.
Differences between New Blue Titler EX and Titler Pro versions
NB Titler EX is a stripped down basic version of Titler Pro, which gives Movie Studio Platinum users a taste of what the Pro version can actually do. Titler EX actually comes with the same core group of Style Templates that the Pro versions do. The main difference between the EX and Pro versions, is that Pro gives you the ability to Keyframe (animate) just about any setting and function in the program. Which means if you can think it, you can create it. The EX version is designed to mix and match a group of pre-made style and effects templates, so that you can very quickly create some sweet looking titles. Titler Pro 2.0 is the deluxe version in the lineup and contains a great many extra features that the first two versions do not have. I will be reviewing NB Titler Pro 2.0 in the coming weeks.
