Q: How do I remove Video FX or Audio FX from my Sony Vegas project?

Answer: Press the green Event FX icon inside the Video or Audio layer on the timeline OR press the Track FX icon inside the Track Description Box - this will depend on where you originally applied your FX. This will then open up the Video Event FX or Audio Event FX window.

Now locate the green plugin icon that has a red arrow with it (positioned in top right corner) and press it to delete and remove the Event FX. That's it, your done !

These instruction for removing a transition will work the exact same in all versions of Sony Movie Studio and Vegas Pro.

My movie studio videofx has defaulted to some 3D setting and I can’t get my original list of effects back.... can ya help me?

  It looks like you have posted the same question on YouTube. Next time, just post your question on YouTube or the website - the MSZ Forum is actually the BEST place to ask questions!

  I recommend you do a full program reset, which will restore all your settings/windows and clean the temporary files cache. Instructions for reset are here:

What if the Video FX you wish to remove isn't listed anywhere. I accidentally applied Hitfilm Gleam and now it won't remove

  I have just added another area where FX can be added.
  Make sure to check the Video Output FX button above the Preview Window - this is the only other place FX can be added.
  If all else fails, reset the program by doing this:
  Turn Movie Studio/Vegas Off.
  Hold down CONTROL and SHIFT keys at the same time AND ALSO AT THE SAME TIME double click program icon on Desktop to Boot program.
  Window will pop up.
  Select Delete Cache and Yes.
  This will restore program to Factory Default Settings.
