Solved R7 1700 vs R5 3600

I wanted to get some input from the forum because y'all have been really good at this. I've been playing games via a PS3 emulator called RPCS3 and it is CPU demanding (clock speed is a must). I've also been playing a game called Cities Skylines, which is very RAM dependent. I know I need to upgrade my RAM to 32 GB but am a little curious about the performance of a R5 3600 as far as MSP is concerned. How does the R5 3600 stack up against the R7 1700 when it comes to MSP use? I know that it has less cores and threads, but its faster and that's what's needed for the games that I play.
Reason that I'm asking is that I edit that game play footage in MSP for upload to YT and I need to know if the R5 3600 is going to do the job. Oh and will upgrading to more RAM make a difference in the use of MSP?

I can't really comment, because I have no direct experience with a Ryzen CPU yet.

I did see this new article published today that compares 3700X VS. 2700 VS. 1700
