Registry Cleaner was created by RobWS

This is a software question, not a hardware question.  Does anyone use a registry cleaner in their computer?  I have ccleaner but have not used it for registry items. Is it, or any registry cleaner effective and safe to use?  Thank you.

I have used a lot of different computer cleaners over last 20 years.
The only one I trust is CCleaner - I use it every day.
www.ccleaner.com/
It is perfectly safe to use the Registry cleaner in CCleaner.
What I do recommend you do is a backup of the Registry before you clean - the program will prompt you to do this, so say YES.
It can fix conflicts in the Windows Registry when you install and uninstall lots of different programs.

The only thing I don't recommend you use in CCleaner is Health Check !!!
It won't break your computer, but it can do things that are over the top and not needed.
Go to Options/Settings and set Home screen to Custom Clean.
ℹ️ Remember to turn everything off at least once a week, including your brain, then sit somewhere quiet and just chill out.
Unplugging is the best way to find solutions to your problems. If you would like to share some love, post a customer testimonial or make a donation.

With CCleaner you can also manually check every proposed deletion entry which is useful.
