I have Movies studio 17 which suits me fine but I need to upgrade my laptop, now 8 years old.  Derek has given me some idea of spec but I need to know what Windows I should request.  10 or 11? Any advice please.

Windows 10 is now old.  11 is the sensible choice going forward.

I agree with Eric!
If you are buying a new computer/laptop, Windows 11 is the only choice.
Windows 11 is better optimized for modern computer hardware and modern programs.
Personally, I have found Windows 11 to be the best version of Windows I have every used.
I have experienced no problems with running old programs on Windows 11.
ℹ️ Remember to turn everything off at least once a week, including your brain, then sit somewhere quiet and just chill out.
