Several weeks back HitFilm published a YouTube video on how to create a LEGO style transition. Is there a way to create this style transition in VEGAS PRO? I didn't want to publish the YT link here and create a problem but you can google "How To Create LEGO style transition by HitFilm". I tried to create this in HitFilm Express without much success. I'm not even sure if it can be done.

It is perfectly OK to post YouTube links in the forum !
I encourage it.
Just post the URL and the forum will automatically embed the YT player.

Thank you Derek. I guess another question would be "if this was created in HitFilm, could it be saved to use in Vegas Pro ?"

I just watched all of the Hitfilm Lego tutorial - amazing tute !
There is a lot of work to recreate this effect, which will take me some time to digest.
To be honest, I don't know either way if you can transfer the Lego transition into Vegas.
When I can find some time I would definitely like to work this one out, but can't promise when that will be.

I posted the question to them and received this response. The problem is I don't see any Transition effects in the Ignite Express add-on pack. I have HitFilmExpress4 loaded and was able to follow along with the tutorial but got left in the dust about halfway through but even if I completed it I didn't know how I was going to be able to use it. Right now it appears that I would have to process any video within HitFilm to be able to make use of it.

You may be able to re-create this in Vegas Pro 14 if you're using the Ignite Express add-on pack. You can check the list of effects included here: hitfilm.com/ignite-express
