Only one audio comes out in the result movie was created by mhan42003

Hi
I am using Vegas Movie Studio 14.0 Platinum. I used to be able to make movie with two audio tracks.

But today, my movie only comes out with one audio, that is, only either my talking track or the music track, not both.

Please advice why and how to fix.

Tons thanks.

Hi MH

I can take a guess as to what your problem may be.

Project Settings
Idea #1
There are 2 main audio settings for any video project - Stereo or 5.1 Surround Sound.
Stereo is used 95% of the time by most people.

If you set you project to 5.1 Surround Sound, but only render to Stereo, this can cause your problem.

Open the Project Properties window for your project and go to the Audio tab.
Is is set to Stereo or 5.1 Surround Sound ?
If you have it set to 5.1, change it back to Stereo and then try another render.

If you really do want to make a 5.1 Surround Sound project, you need to render to a output format that supports 5.1 Surround Sound.

Idea #2
Make sure you have not pressed the Mute or Solo! buttons on any of your Audio Tracks on the Timeline.

Program/Computer Settings
If the above is not your problem, there are two other things you need to check.
Go to Options/Preferences/Audio Device
Set Audio Device Type = Windows Classic Wave Driver
This may fix your problem.

The other thing to check is your Audio Driver Settings on your computer.
If you have 2 speakers connected to your computer, but have the audio set to 5.1 Surround Sound, this can cause a problem.
Right-click the Speaker icon and check the settings for Playback Devices.
