Re-installing Movie Studio Platinum Suite Version 12 was created by 123DAC

Just Had a brand new PC, my old one having completely packed up. I am now trying to load the above software . Having installed the Application disc I followed the instructions but didn't get very far! I was aked to download " Microsoft. Net Framework 3.5 SP1" and " Microsoft .Net Framework 2". Download failed because of "corruption". Any Ideas?
Many Thanks

The original version of MSP12 on your disc will be terribly out of date.
A large number of build versions were released for this during it's product lifetime.

I recommend you download the final build version direct from Magix here. Do the same for DVD Architect.

If you want to install any bonus features like NewBlueFX or Magic Bullet Quick Looks, I recommend you manually open the installation disc after installing Movie Studio and DVDA. You can right-click the install disc and Open it (instead of running disc installer), then search through the folders for each .exe install file and install direct from there.

Please clarify.
Where you able to download Vegas successfully from Magix ?
Is the actual problem happening during the installation process ?

It sounds like you have a problem with .NET Framework on your computer.
This is a Microsoft program that Vegas uses to work properly.

As a first step, try these trouble shooting tips that I posted here:
www.moviestudiozen.com/forum/movie-studio-platinum/2117-text-animations-aren-t-working#10691

This will restart .NET Framework.

After following the instructions, re-boot your computer and then try to install using the new installation file you downloaded from MAGIX.

ALSO, make sure you have downloaded ALL Windows Updates.
Go to the Windows Updates window.
Select Advanced Options below.
Make sure Give me updates to other Microsoft products is turned ON.
Then go back one page and select the UPDATE button.

That's great news :cheer:
Just for clarification, did you reset .NET Framework and do you think that is what fixed the problem ?
