Solved Speeding up movie
I am seeking advice regarding the speeding up a movie clip to more than the maximum speed using the 'control' key. I successfully achieved this some time ago, but the steps I noted at that time are not working.

What were the steps you used last time?
Derek has a tutorial here - www.moviestudiozen.com/free-tutorials/sony-movie-studio-platinum/65-how-to-speed-up-or-slow-down-video-using-sony-vegas-movie-studio-hd-platinum-10
Whilst done for MS10 it's probably still valid.

I have watched the tutorial you suggest, and compared it to my notes. I believe this is what was done previously but my notes were so brief and it was so long ago, I had forgotten some of the vital points. Thank you again.

I am still not having too much success in achieving want I want in speeding up my video clip. The attached screenshot shows my clip taken over 28 plus minutes. I would like to this this up as fast as possible to show a quick 'daybreak'.

What you could do is speed it up 4x using Control-drag, render it, than load the rendered clip in and speed that up 4x, giving effectively 16x speedup. Do it once more for 64x speedup!

If you also obtained the Respeedr product as a bonus when you purchased Vegas Movie Studio, you can use that to increase speed by up to 50x. It's standalone which means you have to run it separately.
