Brand new to Video Editing. was created by papeter

I have just joined this forum as I recently purchased a Canon 650D DSLR with
a couple of useful lenses for filming. I will use this mainly for video work
but I have never used the Sony Movie Studio 12 which I have just bought.

I am a total newbie when it comes to video editing. Where can I see a good video
tutorial that actually shows you what to do and takes you
by the hand from the very start on a step by step basis.

I looked at the free videos section here but can't actually see anything for virgin beginners.
is there such a video available? I am desperate to learn movie studio 12.

Thanks

Peter

Thanks for that. I see there is a Beginners Guide for Sony Movie Studio Platinum 13 even though I have version 12 is it still suitable for me/

Platinum 10,11,12,13 they all have something in common, as well as with their big brothers of Pro. I believe that you will find all the answers to your questions.

Hi Peter

Welcome to the Forum.
I'm glad Ioannis has already pointed you in the right direction.
90% of the tutorial on this website will work in any version of Movie Studio Platinum or Vegas Pro.
Make sure to watch my How to render video tutorial - this is an important subject that many people get confused by.

Hi Ioannis

Thank you for helping a Newbie out.
As this Forum starts to grow, it would be great to know that I have some good helpers to share the workload a bit.

Cheers :)
Derek.
