Solved Movie Studio 17 Wont let me update??
Hi guys,
Im having all sorts of trouble with Movie Studio 17. The program at first wouldnt load but got great support from this forum and worked my way through to fixing it. Now apparently there is an update (496mb) and when it asks me to download I agree then I get this pop up. Then it crashes. Can someone please help. My PC is quite high end and should run 17 easily

Hi Shane
The update you are referring to, did lots of weird things for all of us.
Re-boot your computer first, but DO NOT open Movie Studio,
This is what I recommend you do.
Go into Windows Programs & Features and completely uninstall your current version of Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 17.
Then go to this link and download the installer app.
dl03.magix.net/vegasmoviestudio17platinum_dlm_k17w6.exe
Run this program (double click).
Select only Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 17.
This will download and install the final build version for v17.
Regards
Derek

Thnaks Derek,
If Im half way through a project can I save the VF file somewhere then move it back into the new Movie Studio 17 folder. It should then load when required?

Uninstalling and reinstalling programs does not delete any project files you may be working on.
All your project files should be saved in Documents/Movie Studio 17 Platinum Projects/Your Project.
Us the function Project/Save As and make sure the folder address is correct.
