Events on the timeline make copies of themselves automatically. How can I keep them from doing this?

The program is not doing it by itself.
When you hold down the CTRL key and drag on top of a video on timeline, it creates a carbon copy. It is easy to do this by mistake without realizing. I do this myself all the time.

The other easy mistake to make is when you want to add/insert a new Video Track.
To insert a new video track, you right-click on a blank area of the timeline and select Insert Video Track.
Duplicate Track is just below in the options and if you go too quick, everything gets copied instead.

Derek.
