I used to have the Video Preview screen and the Video Event FX visible at the same time but now it's one or the other, not both. Does anyone know how to set this up please?
Thanks,
Tuppers

I have two old tutorials which should be able to help you out.
Read/watch these two:
1. www.moviestudiozen.com/free-tutorials/sony-movie-studio-platinum/58-how-to-create-custom-window-layouts-in-sony-vegas-movie-studio-hd-platinum-10
2. www.moviestudiozen.com/free-tutorials/sony-movie-studio-platinum/59-how-to-find-lost-windows-a-tabs-in-sony-vegas-movie-studio-hd-platinum-10

If you cannot fix this after watching the tutorials, the best thing to do is full program reset which will return ALL Settings and Views to default values.

Do this:
Turn Movie Studio/Vegas Off.
Hold down CONTROL and SHIFT keys at the same time AND ALSO AT THE SAME TIME double click program icon to Boot program.
Window will pop up.
Select Delete Cache and Yes.
This will restore program to Factory Default Settings.
ℹ️ Remember to turn everything off at least once a week, including your brain, then sit somewhere quiet and just chill out.

Thanks Derek. The URLs didn't work (may have been changed?) but deleting the cache did the trick. Only thing is, it also deleted the project files in My Documents library so if anyone else uses this method, backup your project files first

The links I posted in my reply to you do work - works in Google Chrome, Firefox and Chrome. So I have no idea why they are not working for you. Sounds like you have some sort of third party app on your browser that is blocking certain links.

I have adjusted one of the settings in the Forum Software, so that all links appear as their full address and are not shortened. This way you can Copy and Paste any links directly into your browser if you have problems using them.

Resetting Movie Studio the way I showed does not delete any of your project files. I would never tell someone to do that.
I can guess why you think it has done that. Resetting Movie Studio and Cleaning the Cache would have removed the temporary quick links to your most recent projects, underneath Project/File in the top menu.
You will be able to see that your Project Files are still there, by using the proper function to Open a Project.
Go to Project (File) - Open
Then navigate to My Documents - Vegas Movie Studio Projects or Movie Studio Platinum Projects - Your Project
ℹ️ Remember to turn everything off at least once a week, including your brain, then sit somewhere quiet and just chill out.

Cheers Derek, the full URLs to those tutorials work perfectly. And yes, my projects are where you said they are. Many thanks.
