Solved Group extending slide show time

I just created a video slide show from about 40 jpg photos. When I grab all of the photos and pull them onto the time line of Sony Movie Studio Platinum 13 suite I think the default time per photo is 10 sec. My question is: "is there a way to select ALL of the photos and extend the time to say 15 or 20 sec" I found that I needed more time in order to properly narrate the photos so I had to individually extend the time of each one. I was just thinking it would be a LOT easier to change them all at the same time.

Did you try Insert>>Slideshow>>Settings>>Duration? The default is 3 seconds but that is never enough time for the slide to display especially if you have transitions between slides.

No I didn't. I guess it was late and I was in a hurry and missed that option. It sounds like then that the duration needs to be determined before I load them on the timeline. I was hoping there was a way to adjust the duration after the slideshow was created :-(

Yes there is a little trick you can do to adjust the length of your Slideshow.

1. Highlight (select as group) all the images in your Slideshow - select first picture, hold down Shift Key and then select last picture.
2. Right-click and select Group/Create New - this glues everything in the slideshow together, including any transitions you may have added.
3. Hold down CTRL Key and drag end of Slideshow - you can now expand or collapse everything like a giant accordion.
4. If you need to delete or change anything inside of the slideshow, just right-click and go to Group/Remove From.

All the best.
