The setting you are referring to is actually called Render Loop Region Only, if I am understanding you correctly.
This setting is located in different places, depending on which exact version you are using.
In Vegas Pro and older versions of Movie Studio, Render Loop Region Only is located at bottom on Render As window.
If you are using Movie Studio Platinum 13, the setting is hidden under Render Options in the Render As window.
To access this setting, you need to follow this pathway: Make Movie/Save to Hard Drive/Advanced Options/Render Options/Render loop region only
