Thanks Derek, that enabled me to do a proper reset.

But my FX list is unchanged! Never mind as I don't normally use SoundForge and I note it's been dropped from the latest MS14 suite. It looks a good programme for those heavily into playing around with audio which I'm not.

I have to start in admin mode.


You need to temporarily turn off Run As Adimistrator, before attempting a full program reset.
Once you have reset the program, then go back into Properties for quick launch icon and set back to Admin.
ℹī¸ Remember to turn everything off at least once a week, including your brain, then sit somewhere quiet and just chill out.
