Is there anyway to make the footage fit the old Tv properly?

You need to use the Masking tool in Vegas Pro and cut out border shape to fit inside TV.
Also turn on Feathering to soften edge slightly.

Masking tool is inside Event Pan/Crop window for video track you need to shape.

Thanks Derek. What is the tool to select all the clips and fit them to tv screen in one go? Also how do you get the dots around the corner. Is it an eye judgement to have it same distance from the edge of the screen at each corner?

Thanks

If you have more than one clip you want to "fit" inside the TV, you can COPY the Event Pan/Crop FX to all videos.

After you have Masked on video successfully, right-click that video on timeline and select Copy.
Now highlight and select all the video you want same FX applied to.
Then right-click and select Paste Event Attributes.
The identical mask will then be applied to all videos selected.

Is there anyway to get the curves around the corner except creating anchoe tool. It does not work for me. The points go all over the place and the anchor line curves

1. Add two anchors away from corners first.
2. Then add 3rd anchor right in the middle.
3. Then set to Normal Edit Tool and slowly pull 3rd anchor towards vertex of corner.
4. You can then drag 1st and 2nd anchors up/down to change curve.

Remember you can also make Event Pan/Crop window almost full screen and use Magnifying tool to Zoom In.
Left-click zooms in
Right-click zooms out
Use Normal Edit Tool to drag around window
