Track Motion parent/child problem in Vegas Pro was created by aquamei

hi, im wondering why parent-motion trick isnt working for me. The problem is the 'children' arent following the parent motion when I already clicked on the compositing child button on required clips.ive set up keyframes but it's only working on the parent. im really hoping someone could help:)

Thanks for posting into the Forum :)

There is more to your project timeline that I cannot see.
Can you do 2 more things for me please.

1. Press F11 to make your timeline go full screen and upload a screen shot of this view to the forum.
2. Also upload a copy of your .vf project file. This file contains no video or image files, but it will show me all your settings.

This ended up being an excellent question and easy problem to solve.

Your problem is partly being caused by the new track control box design in Vegas Pro 15.
The solution is to simply drag the track control box area further to the right.
Then it will reveal "true" Parent Track Motion control icon.

Now copy and paste your key-frames from 1 to 2 and delete the key-frames from the Track Motion box (1).

In case some of you are wondering why the title refers to VMS Platinum, note that the same trick of dragging to the right applies there as well.
As advised way back, "easy fix" if you know it;)

That was my fault putting the wrong program name in the thread subject.
