How to add a 'watermark' to your videos? was created by Virdi

Hi all,

I have noticed that some people are re-uploading my videos on YouTube :(

So my question is ...what's the best way to add a watermark to your videos in Vegas Pro 17 please?

I have seen that some people have little logos that are animated or rotate etc... how is this done please?

Thanks

1. You can put in a copyright claim via the YouTube Studio control panel and ask for videos to be removed.
studio.youtube.com/
Select Copyright on left hand side and then go to Removal Requests / New Removal Request.

What normally happens on my own YT channel, is that YT automatically finds duplicated videos and asks me to review them for removal.

2. To add a Watermark, there are 2 things you can do:
a) Basic = Add a Titles & Text event with your Channel Name and place in lower right corner.
b) Profession = Create a Channel Logo (Avatar) with Image Editor software like Photoshop, Affinity Designer or Gimp (free).
I use Affinity Designer to create all my graphics.

When you create your channel logo, save it as a .png file on a Transparent (Alpha channel) background - background will appear as "checkerboard".
Import .png file onto a track above your video in Vegas.
To turn on Transparency, right-click image file and go to Properties.
Select Media tab.
Set Alpha Channel = Straight (unmatted)

To position Logo in corner of video, use the Track Motion tool in track control box.
