Hi all,
I am a VEGAS Pro 21 user, but am asking if anyone can recommend a good screen recorder (preferably free). I also work part time for the Open University as an Associate Lecturer, and sometimes need to record content I create to upload to my students. All suggestions appreciated.

Hi Bob.  Don't know if it would suit your requirements but I use Faststone capture for most of my video recording.  It's not free, but it is capable of doing many tasks within one program.
Please be aware that NSA/GCHQ are probably admiring my comments and sent images.

Hi Bob.  Have you tried OBS Studio.  Its open source, free, and widely used so plety of support and assistance available. Has served me well.   OBS Studio Wesbsite

... Oh, and of course Vegas Pro does have its own built in screen recorder (File>Vegas Capture...).  I believe its pretty basic and it have had its fair share of issues since it was introduced a few years back.  I've never used it so can't comment on its merits or otherwise.
