Just got done watching the video, and this is an absolutely FANTASTIC tutorial! This is immensely helpful! Anyone else out there that may be reading this comment, I only have Movie Studio, therefore lacking the "video scopes" available in the Pro version that Derek mentioned. Seems to me that the scopes are merely a visual/scientific tool to help pros know what they're doing. But the other tools to do the actual adjustments are still available in Movie Studio, you just won't have all the fancy numbers and graphs to look at. I can't wait to start experimenting with these tools on my next project! Speaking of which, you mentioned in the video that you would be doing more in-depth tutorials on color correction. An upcoming project I'm planning will be in black and white (think Twilight Zone, David Lynch etc etc). Would be great to hear any advice you have on something like that as far as color correction goes. Thanks again! As always, a huge help!

I too have just seen Derek's initial tutorial on colour correction and it is excellent - just what the 'doctor' ordered! I can't wait to try these tools on my next project. Well done Derek and I look forward to the next colour correction/grading video.

Thanks Jimbo.
I will keep that in mind about working with Black and White.
I'm pretty much old school and still have a great love for anything that is Black and White.
I use to develop my own B&W photography.

Cheers :)

I just wanted to add my wholehearted agreement to Jimbo72's comments. This is a superb tutorial Derek. The straight forward explanations of the technicalities behind colour correction and what the various plugins do is just so helpful. You have a real skill - I now understand a histogram! Can't wait to start practising. Keep up the good work.
