Posted 22 May 2019 10:10 #2 You've missed out, what is probably the most important info, namely details of your audio/music files. Your pc appears more than adequate for VMS so possibly there is a problem with your files.

Posted 22 May 2019 11:46 #3 Hi UJ80s
Can you please tell us what type of audio files you are having problems with ?
What is the file extension ?
Also, what happens if you import an "everyday" video onto the timeline ?
Are all your video and audio files located on the same Hard Drive or are they on different drives ?
Do you have your computer connected to the Internet ?
If the file you are trying to play is using a special codec, it may need activating by Magix - this happens automatically when your computer is connected to the Internet.
Spinning circles normally mean that a file is trying to load.
If it is not loading, you may have a problem with your Windows permissions and/or you may have a faulty Hard Drive.
Recently one of my Hard Drives died on me. I didn't realize what was happening for a long time until the problem got worse.
Luckily I had backups of all my files on a separate large capacity Hard Drive.
I'm not saying your Hard Drive is about to die, but it is something you should think about.
If your Hard Drive suddenly starts making more "clicking" noises than usually, that is a good sign it is about to die.
Regards
Derek

Posted 22 May 2019 12:03 #5 I read online, deleting cache can help... ctrl shift plus double click the program's icon .. but the option to delete cache does NOT pop up.

Posted 22 May 2019 12:27 #6 In the title of your message you said the problem was with audio/music files.
However, now you are showing Video files.
Is the problem with audio files or videos files ? Which one ?
